Oil production plant launched in Togliatti SEZ

On Thursday, September 7, in the Togliatti Special Economic Zone, the launch of the first stage of butter production at the Togliatti Food Processing Plant (TKPP) took place. The start of the work of the first stage of the TCP was given by the Governor of the Samara region Dmitry Azarov and the general director of the enterprise Mikhail Smirnov.
The plant was built in a year and a half, additionally equipped with modern high-performance facilities for complex purification and packaging of oils. The plant is designed to process 600 thousand tons of oilseeds per year - sunflower, rapeseed and flax.

The amount of investments in the first stage of the project amounted to 15 billion rubles. The launch of the plant ensured the creation of more than 700 jobs. The site of the plant occupies more than 50 hectares. The head of the region examined the workshops, assessed the organization of the technological chain of production. According to Mikhail Smirnov, the oilseed processing plant built is one of the largest in Europe, with high-tech equipment and advanced processing technologies.

After some time, we will start construction of the second, and then the third stage, which will more than double the plant's productivity. I am sure that this task is up to us, the head of the enterprise outlined further plans. According to him, the increase in the volume of processing will be an impetus for the development of local farms. TKPP is designed for the purchase of oilseeds from agricultural producers of the Volga region and the sale of vegetable oils and meals both on the domestic market and for export.
Among the factors that determined the decision to build a plant in the region, the general director noted the support of the Government of the Samara region and the conditions created in the region for investors.

In recent years, the Samara region has made a real breakthrough in its investment attractiveness, which has been noted more than once at the federal level, noted by the President of the country Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, said the Governor. The opening of this large-scale production once again confirms that the efforts were not in vain. It's not about some ratings, it's about specific industries. We have created the conditions here as well, in Tolyatti, in the Special Economic Zone. There are new industries, new jobs. Ultimately, this is an increase in the level of well-being of people. And that means that we are solving the main task that the citizens of our country, residing in the Samara region, set before us, and put by the President.

SEZ "Togliatti" is the leading investment site in the region, the flagship project for the development of the Samara region. According to the results of last year, it confirmed its effectiveness, being among the top three SEZs in the country in terms of investment attractiveness. Investors have already invested more than 43 billion rubles in the implementation of their projects. In two phases of the investment site, there are practically no vacant lands left, and therefore preparations are underway for the creation of infrastructure for the third phase of the SEZ. Support in the further development of the Togliatti SEZ was recently enlisted by the Head of the region during a visit to the Samara region by the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin.

The new food plant will make a significant contribution to the development of the region's economy: these are jobs, high-quality food products, as well as additional opportunities for agricultural producers, including reliable partnerships and good prices for raw materials, said Dmitry Bogdanov, Minister of Economic Development and Investments of the Samara Region .

The first product of TKPP was Sloboda sunflower oil. The total capacity of TKPP for cleaning and packaging oil is 250 thousand tons per year. Particular attention is paid to environmental safety. The plant organized the construction of environmental facilities: a block for the treatment of industrial water and wastewater and thermal power plants. The construction of combined heat and power plants will allow the use of waste-free production technologies. Sunflower seed husks formed as a result of the main activity of the enterprise will be burned in compliance with all environmental requirements, and thermal energy will be used to generate electricity for the needs of the enterprise.
