Delegation from the partner city of Shenzhen visited Togliatti

May, 7-10, the official delegation of Shenzhen Mingde Experimental School (Shenzhen, China), headed by Cheng Hongbing, Ed.D., the Principal of Mingde School visited Togliatti on the eve of the 70^th Anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

A meeting the conference room of City Hall held as a part of the visit of the Chinese educational delegation. Tatiana Lesnyakova, the Deputy Mayor for Social Affairs, heads of the departments of City Hall, the principal of Lyceum №57 and the Deputy Director of the Sports School №4 "Chess" welcomed the principal, assistants and teachers from Shenzhen.

Alexander Gerunov, Head of Sports Department, and Tatiana Terletskaya, Head of Education Department, prepared few presentations on the educational and sport development in Tolyatti and told the guests about the achievements of outstanding students of Togliatti Sports School "Chess".

It should be noted that among schoolchildren Togliatti and Shenzhen have already hosted international chess tournaments, and issues relating to the organization of the chess tournament between students from partner cities in the next year were discussed at the meeting in City Hall.

The delegation visited the Lyceum №57, which management has already successfully established contacts with Chinese educational institutions. Teachers and the principals of Mingde School visited various classrooms, met with school creative and sports teams, and discussed the prospects of cooperation with L.A.Kozyreva, the Prinmcipal of the Lyceum. Following the visit, the sides signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of academic and sports projects.

In addition, the delegation attended preschool - kindergarten №210 Ladushki, where children had prepared for the guests some exciting and dramatic musical performances to celebrate the Day of the Great Victory.

May 9, members of the delegation took part in the festive events dedicated to the 70th Anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, congratulated veterans and laid flowers at the Obelisk of Glory in the Central area. After the celebration events on Svobody Square, the delegation visited the Park Complex of Technical Exhibits named after K.G.Saharov, where they had an interesting tour to the exhibits, demonstrating the machines of the Great Patriotic War.

The delegation of the city of Shenzhen highlighted the conditions created in Togliatti for the education of children in schools and preschools, and also noted the extremely favorable creative atmosphere that allows children to demonstrate their talents and contribute to their comprehensive development.
