Week of Japanese Culture was organized in Togliatti

From September 19 to September 29, Japanese Culture Week took place in the city of Togliatti dedicated to the Year of Japan in Russia. These days, various open events dedicated to the traditional and contemporary culture of Japan were held at the citys venues. The organizers of the "Japanese Culture Week" spoke at the ANO "Institute of Eastern Culture" and the Samara regional branch of the All-Russian public organization " Russia - Japan Society " with the support of the administration of the city of Togliatti.

September 19, as part of the Japanese Culture Week in Togliatti and the Year of Japan in Russia, in the Library of Avtograd (3rd floor) an art exhibition My Japan opened, which combined dozens of works by Togliatti artists, sculptors and designers, teachers and students of the College of Technical and Art Education, Art school named after Marc Chagall, Children's art school №3.

On Sunday, September 23, a master class on creating products in Japanese kanzashi technique - made of silk ribbons, which can be additionally decorated with beads, rhinestones, and sequins, was held at the site of the East China Culture.

September 26, the Institute of Eastern Culture and the Togliatti Library and the administration of the city of Togliatti organized the Evening of Japanese Culture in the Library of Avtograd (Yubileinaya Street, 8). The program of the evening: an open Japanese lesson, a Japanese tea ceremony, a master class in origami, making Teru-Teru-Bodzu dolls, koi paper fish, a Japanese-style photo session.
